SharePoint 2010 is the fourth incarnation of this popular tool, which debuted some ten years ago, and brings to users a more streamlined user interface, more and better integrations to other software products and tools, and a sample of additional features. SharePoint 2010, as its predecessors, comes in two versions, SharePoint Server and SharePoint Foundation targeted for small to mid-size business users. SharePoint Foundation is available as a free add-on enhancement to Windows Server 2008, while SharePoint Server comes with its own licensing fees.
